Fact Check: Globalists Do NOT Support Eating Corpses And Babies In Order To Slow Down Climate Change Staged Remark

Did the globalists state their support for eating babies and corpses, in order to control the world's population and slow down climate change? No, that's not true: the intervention was staged.

The story originates from October 3rd, 2019, during a town hall meeting for Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), where a supposed female supporter of AOC rose up and espoused some controversial ideas, such as "eating babies" and population control as ways to reduce CO2 emissions and slow down climate change.

The video rapidly gained traction on social media and appeared on Fox News. Right-wing groups and sympathizers associated these views with those of Cortez, the globalists, and the Democratic Party and labeled the woman an AOC supporter.

However, it was later revealed that the woman's town hall intervention was staged by the political action committee, LaRouchePAC. The group supports former president Donald Trump. Its website refers to global warming as "population reduction, not science" and publicly takes credit for the farce, claiming that they planted the intervention.

This claim has been fact-checked by multiple organizations, including Lead Stories.

This is what the post looked like on TikTok at the time of writing. The text claims written across the video state that globalists are "baby eaters" and "Satanists" who want to eat "babies and corpses" in order to save the planet and slow down climate change.
